PrestaShop module

The free module by PSModuly connects your PrestaShop store to SmartMailer. It sends the e-mail addresses of customers and newsletter subscribers to your SmartMailer address books and shows in the store administration how many orders and how much revenue each campaign brought.

What the module does

  • Sends e-mails from orders of registered and guest customers and from newsletter sign-ups. You choose in the module what is sent.
  • Splits contacts by language version and customer group, for example wholesale customers into their own address book.
  • Tracks orders from campaigns. Shows the revenue of each campaign. You can enter your margin, set how long after a click an order counts for the campaign, count only the first purchase and export converted orders to CSV.
  • In the store administration you can filter conversion statistics by campaign and period. Campaign opens and clicks with charts are in SmartMailer.
  • The module records unsubscribes from the link in the e-mail. The customer confirms the unsubscribe.

Installation and connection

    Download the module

    Use the Download the module button on this page. The module is free.

    Install it in PrestaShop

    In the PrestaShop administration, open the module manager and upload the downloaded ZIP file. The module supports PrestaShop 1.6, 1.7, 8 and 9 including multistore.

    Create an API token

    In SmartMailer, open Account settings > API tokens, name the token (for example PrestaShop) and click Generate. The full token is shown only once, so copy it right away.

    Paste the token into the module

    In the module configuration, paste the API token and choose which contacts go to which address books.

    Set up a cron job

    The module uploads contacts with a regular cron job on your hosting. Without it, nothing is sent. If you do not know how to set up cron, ask your hosting provider.

What syncs

  • E-mail addresses of customers from orders and of newsletter subscribers, split into address books by your settings.
  • Contacts are sent every time the cron job runs. If sending a contact fails, the module tries again on the next run.
  • Each contact is sent once. Later changes in the store are not copied to SmartMailer.
  • You can temporarily leave out customers who bought in the last few days.

Custom unsubscribe link

If your campaigns use the module unsubscribe link, check its address in the template after updating the module, as described in the module guide. The module no longer supports the old link without confirmation.
