WordPress and WooCommerce plugin
The SmartMailer plugin from the official WordPress directory sends new contacts from your website to a SmartMailer address book as soon as they are created. It works with plain WordPress as well as with WooCommerce, Contact Form 7 and WPForms.
What the plugin does
- Sends new user accounts and comment authors from WordPress.
- With WooCommerce, it sends customers from new orders: the e-mail and name from the billing details.
- Sends submissions from Contact Form 7 and WPForms. For each form you choose which field holds the e-mail and which the name.
- Each source of contacts is switched on separately. Until you enter a valid API token and switch a source on, the plugin sends nothing.
Installation and connection
-
1
Install the plugin
In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New and search for SmartMailer. Or download the plugin from wordpress.org and upload the ZIP with Upload Plugin.
-
2
Activate it
After activation, a SmartMailer item appears in the WordPress admin menu.
-
3
Create an API token
In SmartMailer, open Account settings > API tokens, name the token (for example WordPress) and click Generate. The full token is shown only once.
-
4
Copy the address book UUID
In SmartMailer, edit the address book that should receive the contacts and copy the address book UUID.
-
5
Enter the details and switch on the sources
In the SmartMailer plugin settings, enter the API token and the address book UUID and switch on the sources you want to send contacts from.
What syncs
- First name, last name and e-mail. The plugin sends them to one address book.
- A contact is sent as soon as it is created. No cron job is needed.
- Contacts that existed before the installation are not sent. The plugin can export them to CSV, which you then import into a SmartMailer address book and map the columns to fields.
